Dairyfest Parade preparations were underway this past Sabbath afternoon. Thanks to the many who helped get things ready with donations and hands on help.
This morning, Nick shared some information about the project that K-12 Adventist schools in the Lake Union of Seventh-day Adventist are sponsoring. This link shares some information that helps further explain the project. Kosraelakeunion.org
Kristin Zeismer shared her friend Barry with the children during children’s story this morning. Not only did they learn a bit about her milk snake, but she also shared a story about the Israelites and God’s use of snakes to teach them a lesson.

It is with sadness that we said our final official goodbyes to Pastor Rick Binford. He has presented his last sermon before retirement started. We wish him all the best in his new phase of Christian service.
Good morning ! Gentle reminder that tonight we meet at the Lena SDA Church for a sharing session with the conference about Pastor Rick’s replacement. The district is invited to meet with Elder Adam Case and Elder Mike Edge to learn about and give input in the process as they look for our new pastor. Announcement: This Sabbath (April 13) will be Communion at Lena. Our apologies that this wasn't in the bulletin ahead of time.
The sermon by Elder Holzberger yesterday touched on how we can (and should) witness daily to others to our abilities. It was mentioned how, we as a church, have been blessed with many resources that are used for many ministries. Yet, we should always be looking and striving to look for more ways to reach out in our community to witness and/or serve others. It is true, we are a blessed church. God is great! We have been provided with the resources and the Holy Spirit to provide many ministries both in our local community and throughout the world through mission projects. The recent visit from our friends in Malawi showed what kind of an impact our little church can have if we allow God to use us. Yet, how many in our own small community know we are here? How many know we are willing to help? Can the community carry on without us if we weren’t here, or would we be missed? Do they even know how we provide in our community? We are involved in several community projects including food collection for the local food pantry, our monthly soup kitchen, and hosting a yearly hat, glove, scarves, and sock drive, providing the needy with Thanksgiving baskets, and a community services fund that can be accessed when an individual or family in our community suddenly finds themselves in an emergency or unforeseen situation just to name a few. Yet, there is always a need for more outreach. The job will never be done until our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, returns again to take us home. There are many ways we can improve and reach our community more. I appeal to you to pray for guidance on how each individual in church can be used in our community for His work. Pray for us to receive the Holy Spirit and conviction to want to. Pray for us to become a church that has made such an impact in our community that we would be sorely missed if we weren’t here- not because we are looking for attention or accolades, but because we are a great blessing for the community and it’s needs.
